Classic Asian BBQ

Tips for the perfect TomYang BBQ

When cooking for your guests, first check what their preferences are. Do your guests like meat, fish, or are they perhaps vegan? Use organic products and point it out to your guests. Your guests will be delighted if you can prepare nutritious ingredients in a healthy way. Estimate about 150-200g of fish and meat per person. If you do not want to use fish or meat, then just take more vegetables.

Cutting technique for beef and pork
If you really want to impress your guests, cut the meat very thinly with the cutting machine. This gives the best result. For this purpose, the meat should be placed in the freezer for about an hour before slicing such that the meat is almost but not fully frozen. It should only be slightly frozen, because this way, the meat does not lose its quality and can be cut perfectly. 

Shopping list for 4 persons

  • 200g beef (rump steak, sirloin, roast beef)
  • 200g pork (neck, fillet, belly)
  • 200g chicken
  • 200g of fish/shrimp
  • 100g barbecue cheese
  • Soup bunch for 2L vegetable soup
  • Vegetables: herbs, Chinese cabbage, zucchini, mushrooms, carrots, corncobs or baby corn, soybean sprouts, bamboo shoots
  • For the side dishes: glass noodles, udon (cooked directly in the soup) or jasmine
  • Rice

For grilling
Barbecue cheese, meat & fish (cut into strips/slices) etc. 

For grilling and cooking
Corn cobs, button mushrooms, mushroom, shrimp, Zucchini etc. 

In the soup
Pak Choi, Mangold, Chinese cabbage, bean sprouts, Asian noodles, udon noodles, bamboo shoots, egg, soup vegetables, cilantro, herbs, parsley

Seafood Exclusive

Those who love seafood or want to try a fancier variant of TomYang grills can rely on seafood.

On the grill:
Scallops, Scampi, Mussels, Shrimp, Red Snapper, Turbot, Salmon and Squid.

In the soup area:
After frying the seafood or even instead of frying, these can also be prepared in the soup. Of course the seafood can also be prepared with other ingredients such as vegetables, meat, barbeque cheese and herbs.

One of the special features of the TomYang BBQ is the possibility to turn it into a dessert fondue set.

Our tip: Chocolate fondue

You need 500g of cooking chocolate, 250g of butter and various fruit varieties.

The molten chocolate is poured into the soup drain. The fruits can also be roasted gently as desired before dipping into the liquid chocolate.
